Learning Mole is a fun and engaging platform that provides educational content for children to enjoy their learning. What once started off as a small project in 2017 has since blossomed into a popular channel that gains millions of views on YouTube and a website that attracts thousands of visitors per month.

Learning Mole is all about promoting interactive and engaging content that enhances the learning experience of children. Its founder, Michelle Connolly, is a previous primary school teacher, so who is better fitted than her to engage with young children and create content that stimulates their minds?

Supporting learning at home and in the classroom

The main goal of Learning Mole is to support learning both at home and in the classroom. Many of the Learning Mole videos are now free to view on Youtube but there are thousands more contained within the vaults of the Learning Mole website.

You can access the premium subscription on Learning Mole for just £1.99 for the first 6 months.

The topics covered by Learning Mole include English, Math, History, Geography and STEM, and they are tailored to meet the needs of both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 learning. This type of visual learning uses a variety of characters in different animation styles, helping children stay engaged with the learning material.

It’s not just curriculum-based learning

Another major goal of Learning Mole was to provide resources for children in learning life skills, something that is often overlooked within the traditional curriculum. This content includes topics such as financial literacy for kids and coding for kids.

These life skills are best learnt at an early age, it will help teach them the importance of managing personal finances and introduce them to subjects that are not yet included in the national curriculum but ought to be.

And for parents

The content isn’t just for children to learn from, but also for parents to learn helpful tips that will support their children’s learning. It can be quite challenging to get the right techniques for teaching reading or writing, but with Learning Mole’s helpful videos, you can ensure that you are giving your child the best support at home.

Learning Mole has partnered with leading and reputable bodies to provide the best educational and fun content possible. Some noteworthy partnerships include;

With the CodeMonkey platform, users can embark on an exciting journey of learning, honing their coding skills, and gaining a deeper understanding of computer programming to unlock their potential in the world of programming.

Recently Learning Mole partnered with the leading child’s coding platform to develop a series of videos that introduce the topic to children.

NI Screen

Northern Ireland Screen serves as the official national screen agency for Northern Ireland. It plays a vital role in fostering and advancing the growth of the region’s film, animation, and television production industry.

Learning Mole has also recently developed a series of videos that explore the lives of five influential Ulster Scots who made an impact on the world of STEM. These videos are such a valuable resource for NI schools to teach local history and appreciate the culture around them.

It’s been a success

Since its initial launch as an educational platform, Learning Mole has only gone from strength to strength in developing its digital presence and outreach. Check out some of the amazing statistics below!

  • Around 30k monthly visits to the website.
  • Top page of Google video results for ‘kids coding’ and ‘coding for kids’.
  • Top page of Google video results finance for kids.

  • Over 9 million views on the YouTube channel to date – which is around 150,000 views per month.

Amazing Cars and Drives is the ultimate guide for driving enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for information on a potential car you’re considering buying or just interested in the latest models hitting the road – this is the place to watch car reviews and gain industry insights.

Car Review Website: Amazing Cars and Drives 1

What Started Amazing Cars and Drives?

Amazing Cars and Drives was initially launched to showcase the skills of ProfileTree and the videography department. It was an experiment of what we could do with a low budget in building a strong in-house brand.

But it was more than that

Showing off our skills wasn’t the only reason for launching Amazing Cars and Drives. It was to also prove a point to existing car dealerships who still didn’t believe in the power of digital marketing, they kept saying, “YouTube will never happen for us.”

We got tired of saying it, so we started doing it instead.

Screenshot of original Amazing Cars and Drives website and screenshot of newest version of website.=

85% of the buying process is done online

In our initial research, we found that potential buyers of a vehicle would spend 16 hours on average researching different cars, watching reviews, and investigating the car’s performance.

In fact, 85% of the buying process was conducted online and by the time they entered a showroom, they had narrowed it down to two options. Long gone were the days when a potential buyer visited a showroom with no previous research or forethought on what vehicle they were going to buy.

And it made sense. Purchasing a car is one of the biggest purchases in life, so potential buyers are going to want to know everything they can before signing on the dotted line.

Car dealerships needed to capitalise on that research time and attract potential customers with amazing car-related content.

We spotted a gap in the market that our expertise could fill, so we just went for it.

Screenshot of blog and reviews section of Amazing Cars and Drives website

And the results

Amazing Cars and Drives has only gone from strength to strength, ultimately taking on a life of its own and becoming an established channel with a dedicated team for producing amazing car content.

With our own in-house brand, we have been able to show potential clients what’s possible when they work with us. We can help them attract potential customers before they have even stepped foot inside the dealership, positioning them at the right time with content that interests and informs their purchase decision.

Audi, Ferarri and Lexus Logos

Partnerships with Mercedes, Ferrari and Lexus

Amazing Cars and Drives has been lucky enough to partner with some of the biggest car manufacturers and dealerships in the world. We currently work with Mercedes, Ferrari and Lexus to test drive some of their models and create engaging and attractive content surrounding it.

We have created a catalogue with everything from top-of-the-line models to dependable cars for the everyday commute. Amazing Cars and Drives is the ultimate destination for car enthusiasts to delve into their driving interests. We create the content and just let the views roll in.

It’s catching on

Since our initial channel launched we have increasingly seen a steady rise in Irish car dealerships who are investing in similar content marketing methods. We’re not saying that they have copied us, but perhaps half a million YouTube views is now nothing to be sniffed at.

Car Review Website: Amazing Cars and Drives 2

Future goals for the channel

Amazing Cars and Drives is aiming to be the largest and most informative car buyer’s guide in Ireland and the U.K., that goal will do for now, before we aim to be the biggest in the world!

We almost want to create a blue book concept, that’s full of video content, test drives, vehicle specifications, pricing information and more.

  • When someone is thinking of purchasing a vehicle, we want them to visit us.
  • When someone is interested in the latest release of new models, we want to be the channel with content about it.

We also want to be a hub of popular car-related topics, whether it’s the rise in electric vehicles, a look at mobile cars, second-hand cars, or any other car-related query, we want to provide our audience with detailed information that’s helpful to them.

Create synergy between other in-house brands

Another goal of this channel is to help us create synergy between our other in-house brands. ConnollyCove for example is our dedicated travel and tourism website, but the industry is incredibly saturated and competitive.

Vehicles are tied to the travel and tourism industry, whether visitors are wanting to rent a car for travelling along the coast of Ireland or thinking about renovating a Mercedes Sprinter for a live-in van.

We believe that our content can align nicely with our other in-house brands, helping us carve out a niche and stand out from competitors.

Partner with more brands

Our ultimate goal is to partner with more car dealerships and car manufacturers so we have that special behind-the-scenes insight to create unique and valuable content for our audiences.

We want to bring the showroom to the screen and create car-related content that is both engaging and attractive.

Amazing Food and Drink is a Youtube channel and Instagram account that provides a special behind-the-scenes look into the everyday workings of award-winning food and drink artisans.

The channel highlights the amazing craftsmanship of local businesses and food producers within Ireland, from professional head chefs in leading restaurants to local distilleries that produce world-renowned whiskeys – this channel gives the audience an insight that they otherwise would never be privy to.

Screenshot Amazing Food and Drink Homepage

How does it work?

Amazing Food and Drink are invited into the business’s premises, where all of the magic happens. From here the food or drink creator will explain their special process, the inspiration behind their product and how they have curated a unique approach that makes them stand out from the competition.

But we can’t film all of their secrets – only what they are comfortable sharing.

Why does it work?

The type of content that Amazing Food and Drink produces isn’t just about selling a product, it’s about telling a story.

Increasingly audiences are more and more interested in the story behind the product. They want to know about the initial inspiration, the struggles the business overcame and how they have ended up where they are.

This type of content allows a business to connect with audiences in an authentic way. They feel as though they are working alongside the business in the production process and when they finally get to taste the finished product, they too relish in the fruits of their labour.

What will audiences find?

There is a wide variety of food and drink-related content on the channel. Visitors can find cooking tutorials from leading head chefs to perfect their own recipes at home or they can discover the production process of local artisan food and drink.

Some of the most popular videos depict the day-to-day operations of Carlingford Oysters, Hinch Distillery and Stock Kitchen and Bar, with more and more local businesses being added to the channel every day.

It’s like a ‘how it’s made’ channel only better, more authentic and for Ireland-based businesses.

Who is the target audience?

The target audience for the Amazing Food and Drink channel is primarily foodies, but it also extends to;

  • Other business owners who may want to showcase their products.
  • The wider community who wants to know more about available local produce.
  • Visiting tourists who may want to experience an authentic taste of Irish-made food and drink.

Amazing Food and Drink positions local businesses in front of potential customers who are invested in their story, this will help build loyal custom and develop a rapport that ordinary advertising just isn’t capable of.

It’s been a success!

  • 690,000 views on Youtube.
  • Only 90 videos have generated this much traffic.
  • A growing channel that continues to attract more local businesses.

Future Goals

The future for Amazing Food and Drink is set to be a promising one. It has gone from strength to strength and continues to develop a strong community of food and drink enthusiasts.

Within the next few years, Amazing Food and Drink aims to attract millions of views and thousands of subscribers, carving out a niche for being the go-to channel to explore local artisan food and drink in Ireland.

Beyond that, Amazing Food and Drink is keen to travel to wider parts of the U.K. and Ireland, discovering more artisan producers and exploring the fascinating stories behind them.

However, one thing will always remain the same and that is to bring the audience on a journey, engaging with them and developing a connection between brand and customer.

We believe that this is what makes our content so unique as it creates authentic value.

As we said at the beginning, we’re about telling stories, not just selling products.

The Challenge – Website, digital strategy and content marketing

With offices in Dublin and Belfast, Eldron were well positioned to achieve success in the Irish property market. However, with a lack of a digital or social presence, nor a content marketing or social media strategy, our client recognised that their potential continued to face limitations.

Consultations with ProfileTree swiftly identified a number of spaces for digital improvement. Without a secure, robust and visually appealing website, the client were operating without a showcase for their business, services and brand.

However, the limitations to Eldron’s digital success didn’t end there. The company struggled to maximise the potential of their marketing efforts due to a lack of any content marketing or social media marketing strategy.

Ireland’s property market is saturated with companies vying for competition. Without a strategy that implemented measures to achieve SEO-optimised content, Eldron struggled to bring their brand to the pages that matter: search engine ranking pages.

Equipped with talented staff and a substantial portfolio of properties, Eldron were ready to take the transformation of their business to the next level.

That’s where ProfileTree came in.

Our Approach

Digital Transformation

Following consultations with Eldron, it was swiftly identified that a flowing, engaging and user-friendly website was essential in growing their success. The team at ProfileTree set about designing and developing a website which fully incorporated Eldron’s established branding across all pages. The site included a number of unique landing pages, highlighting the company’s business journey, as well as its key services, client testimonials and a page to host blog posts, including company news and announcements.

As an essential element of Eldron’s fresh content strategy, all content, including web pages and blog posts, were optimised with high performance keywords. Following these measures ensured that our client got off to the best possible start in regards to SEO ranking. Once Eldron’s new website was designed and developed, ProfileTree took over hosting, guaranteeing a secure and functioning website both in the present and into the future.

Eldron’s digital transformation didn’t end with a secure and functioning website, however. ProfileTree guided the client in spearheading their fresh marketing strategies across all content, including social media. Our team of analysts and marketers continued to handle social media for Eldron, targeting their required audience with engaging, shareable content engineered for increased sales and organic growth.

Results

Building organic growth

A stable, engaging and secure site, with hosting services ensuring functionality into the future.

A content strategy prioritising SEO requirements, engineered to boost credibility and achieve organic growth.

A social media marketing strategy designed for increased engagement and sales conversions.

Expertly produced and marketed video content, driving web traffic and potential buyers to the site.

Website design for property agents

There has been a major shift in how buyers and renters go about finding a property, potential customers are no longer calling into high street property agent stores, instead they are searching for available properties in the comfort of their own home in property websites.

In fact, in 2018 a shocking 93% of home buyers used online property websites when searching for a home and this number is only expected to rise in the future.

A property agents website is essentially the online store of properties that are available in a selected area. The power of a well designed property agent website is not to be underestimated, it can essentially make or break a property business in today’s competitive and digital environment.

Competitive website design for property agents

The competition for online estate agent websites is one of the fiercest markets there is. With established property agent websites like Rightmove, which is the largest in the U.K., it can be challenging for smaller scale property agents to carve out their own digital presence and rank highly in search engine results.

The amount of competition requires an expert web design approach in order to create appealing websites that are capable of competing online and against property agent giants like Rightmove and Zoopla.

With sleek web design, engaging content and well functioning features, your property agent website has every chance to carve out its own digital presence and become a property agent website that customers use and return to.

User Interface for property agent website design

Probably one of the most important aspects of website design for property agents, is the User Interface. This relates to everything that the website visitor interacts with; the pages, toggle buttons, filter options etc.

The User Interface is crucial for ensuring that website visitors are able to navigate your website with ease. It should create a pleasurable viewing experience and encourage them to return to your website when viewing other properties.

User Interface features for property agent website design:

Some of the User Interface features that should be included within property agent website includes:

Separate web pages

Include separate web pages in order to help customers differentiate between your web content. Some web pages you may want to spend time investing in includes:

  • Properties for sale
  • Properties to rent
  • Commercial properties
  • Properties for auction
  • Land sales
  • New homes
  • Find an agent
  • Mortgage helper
  • Blog page

Separate web pages help website visitors easily access the content that they are looking for. It is also worth keeping in mind that ‘ About Us’ pages are usually not sought in property agent websites, to put it bluntly customers don’t care who you are, they are looking for a home, not a backstory.

Helpful features

There are many helpful features that you can add to your property agent website, helping potential customers in their search for a home. Some helpful features that you may want to include are:

  • Chat to an agent (AI chatbot)
  • Mortgage calculator
  • Arrange a viewing

Any helpful features that make the navigation more streamlined and enhance the user interface should be sought and included into your website design for property agents.

Filters

Filters are a great feature to add onto your property website in order to help the visitor navigate through the available properties. Some filters that you may want to add to your website, includes:

  • Price / budget
  • Postcode / area
  • Bedrooms
  • Property type
  • Search radius

If your property agent website just has a list of properties in random formatting, it’s going to be difficult for the visitor to filter through the property options. Every potential buyer and renter have their non-negotiables when searching for a property, so it makes sense that property agents should provide filters to aid in their search.

Colour theme in property agent website design

You should pay attention to the colour theme used within a property agent website.  As a general rule of thumb, you should only use a maximum of 3-4 colours, with white being the main background colour, deviations from this rule may result in a website that is overwhelming and not appealing to the visitor.

Think about using the following colours for property agent website design:

Blue

Blue conveys feelings of trust, integrity and support, which is useful for property agents that are trying to gain the trust of potential clients.

Orange

Orange conveys feelings of optimism and energy, it’s also great for grasping the attention of your website visitor and encouraging them to stay around your website for longer.

Yellow

Yellow conveys feelings of joy, friendship, optimism and happiness – all of which you want to be associated with a client and their home hunting journey.

User Experience on property agent websites

The User Experience or UX, refers to how well the website operates. Visitors expect things to load properly and they expect website buttons to do what they’re supposed to do. A property agent website is going to have lots of different features embedded within it, from application forms to interactive videos, and they all need to perform well in order to meet the visitors expectations.

If your website doesn’t load its features properly or struggles to perform ordinary tasks, then it creates a negative User Experience, which only serves to frustrate the visitor and discourage them from returning to your site. You should seek the assistance of a web developer in order to audit your UX as they will have the technical know-how for fixing any issues.

Why do property agents show sold properties on their website?

It may seem counteractive to show already sold properties on your property agent website, but it is for good reason. Some reasons why properties agent websites do this, includes:

  • It provides website visitors with a ballpark figure on how much similar properties are selling for.
  • It showcases your talent as a successful property agent for buyers and sellers.
  • It generates interest from potential buyers and renters who are interested in that area.
  • Some properties need to have a survey completed before the keys are handed over, some agents prefer to keep the property online before this has been completed.

It may be a good idea to have a filter or separate page for sold properties as it may lead to visitor frustration if they are having to sort through properties to find available ones on the market.

SEO in property agent website design

Another important part of website design for property agent websites is the content that populates the actual website. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and this is the process of attempting to rank on search engine results through organic means.

When people search for something on Google, the search engine will attempt to provide them with the best answers available. If your website’s content isn’t answering the questions that people have, then it will struggle to rank on search engines results. In other words, people aren’t altruistically interested in hearing about your business, they want answers to their questions, and as such your website should provide this.

The Challenge

As experts in the Spanish property market, Dream Spanish Homes have excelled in providing amazing insights and guidance to property buyers predominantly from the British and Irish markets. Catering to a range of budgets, DSH offers a huge range of properties, from beachside apartments to large seaside villas. With such a broad portfolio of properties, Dream Spanish Homes required an extensive website composed of dozens of pages, highlighting several services as well as an extensive number of properties. Without a digital showcase for the properties, our client faced obstacles in achieving their potential.

Given the property markets’ saturated nature, it was vital that our client was able to demonstrate their expertise to prospective property buyers around several areas of southern Spain. However, a lack of content strategy and social media strategy limited their engagement.

Beautiful properties require beautiful presentation. Dream Spanish Home’s lack of video marketing content around their properties also meant that they weren’t promoted in an engaging, lead-focussed way.

With no digital strategy, content plan or marketing techniques, our client had plenty of room for improvement.

That’s where ProfileTree came in.

Our Approach

Focus on Increasing Sales

Following consultation with Dream Spanish Homes, the expert team at ProfileTree developed an extensive website for the company, incorporating all branding across its digital presence. This included a large collection of graphics and interactive buttons, as well as calls to action on each and every landing page. At ProfileTree, we believe that websites should serve as an extension of the business-customer relationship: and that is just what we achieved with Dream Spanish Homes.

Significant elements of our client’s digital transformation centred around video marketing. ProfileTree worked with the client to fly over to Los Alcázares, Murcia to meet with the client, prioritising properties and conducting filming and photography shoots at dozens of sites across the region. This footage was cut, edited and dispersed throughout the site, highlighting the site’s properties in a way that was engaging, visually appealing and most importantly, shareable.

In the digital marketplace, content is king. That’s why ProfileTree crafted optimised digital content across the site, from a flowing and compelling ‘About Us’ page through to property descriptions and service pages. Following a well-organised content strategy also allowed the client to demonstrate their expertise through a series of expertly-written blogs on a specially built page.

Overarching all of Dream Spanish Home’s digital transformation was an extensive social media strategy. ProfileTree consulted with our client, identifying a target market and crafting social content to engage, inspire and inform, sharing properties, announcements and other information with a focus on increasing sales.

Results

Increase in monthly visitors

A flowing, secure and visually appealing website, leading to a 150% increase in monthly visitors.

Expertly recorded and edited video content, showcasing the client’s properties and locations.

Optimised, eloquent and informative written content and blog posts, increasing high performance keywords from 428 to 750.

A well researched, organised and resourced digital strategy to ensure the client’s success in the present and into the future.

Digital strategy for estate agents – what to consider?

Designing and delivering a digital strategy for estate agents is absolutely necessary in this current digital age. There has been a major shift in how estate agents perform their services, instead of taking clients on property viewings that they have recommended, it is now the clients who are requesting to view particular properties.

This is due to this exceptional growth of the online property market. Available properties are now at the fingertips of potential buyers and renters, they know what is out there and they know what they are looking for. As an estate agent, you need to be competing fiercely online by providing detailed information and quality content on the properties you have listed.

Creating content for estate agents

Due to the investment in property sales and rentals, the content needs to be incredibly high quality and expertly captured. Think about it, if you’re going to commit to a 30 year mortgage for that dream home, it had better be worth it, so why would you waste your time looking at a property that looks dreadful, tired or dated?

We have said it before and we’ll say it again – content is king when it comes to delivering a successful digital strategy. This is particularly relevant for estate agents as they are selling a tangible product and most likely, they are selling one of the biggest purchases someone will make in their lifetime.

Check out these types of content that are particularly useful for assisting estate agents with their digital strategy:

Image content

Ever heard the saying a picture says a thousand words? Well this couldn’t be more true in the case of online estate agents. No matter how well you describe the property, the image is going to be the thing that piques your audience’s interests and increases the impact of your digital strategy.

Images are the hook that has potential buyers and renters imagining themselves living there, how they would decorate it and who would stay where and in what room. Even if the property is dated and in need of a refurb, you still need to provide quality images in order to reel clients in.

Because property sales and rentals are such a high purchase product, you really need to invest in taking some quality images. Images should be taken by a professional using a wide angle lens, in order to capture the scalability of the interior and exterior of the property.

If you want your images to stand out from other estate agent competitors though, then it’s also worth looking into 360° images. These images provide a kind of virtual tour, where audiences can literally position themselves as standing in the middle of the room and looking around.

Video content

Video is the most widely consumed form of media, it dominates social media platforms and has the potential to rank highly on search engine results. If you are seeking to deliver a successful digital strategy for your estate agent business, then video is most definitely a form of content that you want to explore and invest in.

Video content allows for estate agents to promote properties in all of their glory. It communicates the size and scalability of a property and lends itself well to providing clients with a virtual tour before they undertake a physical viewing.

What’s good about video content for estate agents, is that it almost provides a narrative for viewers, in that they can imagine themselves opening that front door, climbing those stairs and sitting out that back garden. It is the closest way possible of delivering a tour virtually to potential buyers and renters.

Another advantage of video content for estate agents is that footage can be edited in post production, creating a bespoke piece of content that showcases the property in the best possible way. With transitions, music and a range of different angles, there is a real opportunity to create content that is impactful and able to generate audience interest.

Blog content for estate agents

Blogs are a great way for promoting certain areas that your estate agent business is selling properties in. They also have the ability to attract attention to your website or social media platform, which in turn increases your brand visibility and digital presence.

10 blog ideas for estate agents

  1. Everything you need to know about buying a property.
  2. What you should know before renting a property.
  3. How to go about selling your property?
  4. How to apply for a mortgage?
  5. How to fix minor repair issues as a homeowner?
  6. How to start renting your property?
  7. Predictions of the property market in 2023.
  8. Places to eat in the local community.
  9. Places to visit in the local community.
  10. General house prices for these areas.

Blogs give you the opportunity to be more personable with audiences and connect with them. They also offer an insight into what life is like in the local community or they can provide information in relation to property acquiring processes. Blogs are an ideal way to show off your expertise as a property agent and establish your brand as an industry expert in property management.

Social media management for estate agents

Social media management is another great tactic to use in a digital marketing strategy for estate agents. Social media is more conversational and you can adopt a casual tone with audiences in order to connect with them.

Social media also offers you the opportunity to present particular properties that you think clients will be interested in. Some estate agents include taglines such as “perfect for a first time buyer” or “would make a great family home” in order to garner interest from social media users.

Even expensive properties that you think only a select number of people would be able to purchase, make for great social media posts. The extravagance of the property and the fact that it’s in a local area, usually results in locals tagging their friends and family to view the property and appreciate it. This is all good exposure and it subsequently raises your digital profile and increases brand awareness.

Website design for estate agents

The website is the digital home of your online estate agent activities, it’s the place clients will visit if they want to view properties, schedule a viewing or book an appointment with one of your estate agents. As a general rule of thumb, the website design for estate agents should have clearly defined web pages for commercial properties, residential sales or residential lettings.

What to include on a property agent website

Property agent websites should be centred around the properties themselves, they are the main product and should have a dedicated space on the website to present them. However, there are some other things that you may wish to include on a property website including:

  • About us page
  • Filters for residential sales / residential lettings / commercial lettings
  • Details of property – space in m2, energy rating, facilities, etc
  • Location / postcode filters
  • Blog page

A property agent website is an online space where you advertise properties to potential buyers and renters. The property aspect is the main focus and as such, content should be structured around that.

The Challenge

Cathedral Eye Clinic has become an institution in Ireland, with its Belfast-based headquarters hosting some of the country’s most experienced optometrists, consultant ophthalmologists and oculoplastic surgeons, as well as Ireland’s first and only SMILE laser surgery facilities. With clients coming from all over the country, Cathedral Eye Clinic enjoyed the prestige granted by their skills and investments in technology. However, without a flowing, functional and engaging digital presence, leaders at the clinic felt that its achievements were limited.

Following a consultation with the client, numerous challenges were identified. Aside from lacking a strong website, the client also lacked any strategy around content and digital marketing. Staff were also poorly equipped to leverage digital tools such as social media. With improvement measures identified and a plan drawn up, Cathedral Eye Clinic were ready to take their first steps towards online success.

That’s where ProfileTree came in.

Our Approach

Sleek Digital Showcase

Cathedral Eye Clinic’s range of services required a robust and stable website with numerous landing pages. Pages were designed for a number of treatments and eye health programmes, as well as essential information around the clinic’s surgeons, payment plans and government schemes. It was also swiftly identified that the client would benefit from a page for blog content, as well as a page featuring patient testimonials.

Once the plan was devised, the team at ProfileTree set about constructing a website, with results that were user-friendly, engaging and visually appealing. With flowing pages and calls to action at several points, the path had already been plotted to achieving a site where patients could discover and communicate with clinical staff.

A central element of Cathedral Eye Clinic’s digital transformation centred around content marketing, including video production. A series of videos were recorded and embedded within the site’s design, featuring interviews with staff members, details around eye conditions and laser treatments, as well as basic information around the clinic’s location and payment plans. Blogs also formed a core element of the transformation plan, with over 20 blogs published detailing eye conditions and relevant treatments. Opting for ProfileTree’s content writing services allowed Cathedral Eye Clinic to demonstrate their credentials whilst also boosting their site’s ranking. These measures were consolidated by an extensive SEO strategy, engineered to boost the clinic’s visibility on search engine pages including Google, Yahoo! and Bing.

Following the official handover of the new website, ProfileTree were delighted to provide our client with digital training, ensuring that their success continues in the present and into the future.

Digital marketing for healthcare industry

It would be safe to say that nearly every industry in the world has become digitalised in some form, and the healthcare industry is no different. Patients are now expecting to be able to access health information and services conveniently and through accessible digital means.

It has even become a trend to ‘google your symptoms’ as people’s first step with a health issue is to usually google it. If your business provides a healthcare service, then you need to be providing health information via your website and through your established digital presence.
A digital marketing strategy for healthcare services will help you reach potential patients, spread your expertise and become a resource for health information. This all works to increase your brand’s credibility and authenticity, which is very important for healthcare professionals.

Digital marketing for healthcare using website design

Website competition in healthcare services is particularly fierce, with established health sites such as the NHS or WebMd, it can be challenging to carve out your own digital presence as a healthcare provider. However, with carefully cultivated website design, we can help you to establish your own digital presence within the healthcare market.

Designing a website for healthcare services needs to be particularly well presented, clearly structured and informative. Poorly chosen themes, descriptions full of jargon or unclear website navigation will only serve to confuse potential patients and steer them away from browsing your website.

Colour theme for healthcare websites

The colour theme of your healthcare website will have an impact on how it is perceived by audiences. As a general rule of thumb, use colours such as green, blue or white, as these convey notions of health and vitality. Stay away from colours like red and black, as these are quite alarming and loud, as opposed to calming and soothing.

Navigation for healthcare websites

More so than any other industry, healthcare websites particularly need to present information in a clear and informative format. They should have clearly defined web pages that help the visitor access information relevant to them. Some of the usual webpages found on healthcare websites include:

  • About the surgeon / healthcare professional
  • Information on healthcare services
  • Frequently asked questions
  • Patient testimonials
  • Before and after pages
  • Blog page
  • Payment plans and government schemes
  • Contact us / book an appointment page

Clearly structured information in a siloed format, will help the visitor navigate the website and access relevant information. This also increases the amount of time they spend on your website, which also serves to increase the website’s credibility and authenticity score.

Call to action

As with any website design, a call to action needs to be included, it serves to encourage visitors to complete an action on behalf of the business. Within the healthcare industry, these ‘call to actions’ can be a little more personalised to the individual, e.g.)

  • Stop living in pain and get in contact with us now.
  • Get your life back by scheduling an appointment today.
  • Book in for a consultation and start living better.

A call to action reaffirms what you are offering to the individual and how they will benefit from your service. Include these sporadically throughout your website as too many will lose impact.

Digital marketing for healthcare using SEO

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is the process of organically attracting visitors to your website by ranking highly in response to search engine queries. For example, if someone searched for ‘eye clinic belfast’ then the Cathedral Eye Clinic appears as the top result.

SEO does not use paid advertising, instead it’s a process of constructing website content so that it provides clear and detailed information in response to user queries. Within the healthcare industry, there are lots of opportunities for creating relevant SEO content in response to health queries – as it’s one of the most frequently searched topics on Google.

It’s also important to remember, that as a healthcare professional, it can be too easy to speak using jargon terms that are familiar with experts in the industry, but for the ordinary person who is seeking your services, they may not know the accurate terms for medical procedures or diagnosis. Within SEO, there is a focus on curating content in layman’s terms, equating with the same format and style of questions that are being searched on the likes of  Google, Yahoo or Bing.

Digital marketing for healthcare using content creation

Although this may sound blunt, it is important to note that visitors to your healthcare website are not visiting your website for the goodness of their hearts, they are seeking information and assistance with their own healthcare issue. As such, the content marketing strategy for healthcare businesses needs to be patient centric.

Some healthcare content that is worth creating includes:

Patient testimonials

Patient testimonials are one of the best ways to create successful content for your healthcare practice. Audiences will have a natural predisposition to believe that your words are biassed because it’s your business, but with patient testimonials, this issue can be avoided, which increases credibility and trust of your brand.

Before and afters

If relevant, before and after images can lend credibility to your healthcare service. They are a visual representation of your expertise and communicate that you can offer real results for patient’s. Some healthcare services naturally lend themselves to this type of content i.e.) surgery results, dental corrections or skin rashes, irritations, burns etc.

Documentary style content

Documentary style content goes into a little more depth than patient testimonials, they follow the patient’s journey from the initial consultation phase right through to post-procedure results. Audiences can imagine themselves in this journey, experiencing the same feelings and struggles as the patient and becoming aware that there is a solution available to them.

Video content for healthcare website

Video content is the most consumed form of media online and audiences expect to see it no matter which industry they are exploring. Video content in the healthcare industry can cover anything from the businesses location, procedure process, state-of-the art technologies and even introductions to the healthcare staff.

In an industry where bedside manner is so important, it makes sense to provide content that is a little more interpersonal and authentic.

Digital marketing agency for promoting healthcare business

It can be particularly difficult for healthcare providers to promote their services, due to the  intangible nature of healthcare, i.e.) you can’t physically rub an ointment or give a patient medication in order to show them the effectiveness of your healthcare product/service.

At ProfileTree, we understand this challenge and that’s why we provide a multi-thronged approach to digital marketing for healthcare. We are experts at using bespoke website design and clever content marketing methods.

We have worked with a range of different healthcare providers in a variety of niche services. We know how to target potential patients and promote the healthcare industry in an authentic and credible way. If you would like to hear more about our services, you can do so by getting in touch here.

GigGrafter

The Challenge

The world of work is changing. The team at GigGrafter were acutely aware of that change, basing their innovative business idea around a fundamental reimagining of shift-based work. With a raft of experience behind the company due to the success of their former business venture, Nifty Nosh, GigGrafter were on their way to further success with a productivity-boosting idea. This idea was to transform workplace rota management with innovative, user-friendly software with flexibility at its core.

The team at GigGrafter were well-placed for future success, with a strong business idea and previous experience of business management. However, without a strong digital presence behind their brand, their potential faced limitations. A website to promote the varied features of the software was required – one which was sleek, engaging and user-friendly. Beyond this, the client needed an app to compliment their software.

Aside from their lacking digital presence, GigGrafter did not have in place an effective content marketing strategy to give their product the prominence it deserved.

That’s where ProfileTree came in.

Our Approach

Robust and Flowing Website

GigGrafter’s diverse range of features demanded a robust and flowing website with several landing pages, including for features around rota templates, budget & cost management, holiday tracking and staff contact details (to mention but a few). Pages were also required to explain the brand’s story, as well as information about pricing, contact details, customer support and more. ProfileTree set about constructing a secure and user-friendly website for the client, serving as a digital showcase which truly promoted their product.

Beyond addressing GigGrafter’s need for a strong desktop site, the client also required an intuitive app to link with their software. ProfileTree worked alongside the client to design and develop an app capable of securely holding staff contact details, ensuring compliance in the age of GDPR.

GigGrafter’s transformation did not conclude with the development of a website and app, however. ProfileTree consulted with the client to devise an extensive content marketing strategy, engineered to achieve increased sales, engagement and organic growth. This included an advanced plan to optimise all content for Search Engine Optimisation requirements (SEO). Aimed at improving our client’s position in Google search rankings, a bespoke content marketing strategy was launched to help them achieve the prominence they truly deserved.

An essential element of GigGrafter’s transformation centred around the need to articulate their product simply to prospective buyers. To this end, ProfileTree’s expert team of videographers and editors worked to create a 3 minute video tour of the software and app, including basic instructions and licensed audio tracks.

Results

Organic digital growth

A stable, secure and visually appealing website, showcasing the work of our client.

An intuitive and user-friendly mobile application to compliment the company’s technology.

A content marketing strategy engineered to achieve organic digital growth and improved search rankings.

Expertly produced video, clearly outlining and explaining the functions of the software.

App Design – What to consider when designing an app?

Designing an app is a complex process and in order to reap the benefits of a successful one, it requires much planning, forethought and effort. There are some things that you should consider when designing an app, check out our tips for doing so.

What is your app for?

This may sound like a simple and basic question, but it is worth clearly stating what the purpose of your app is. It is often too easy to get caught up with additional features, which causes you to lose focus on what the main objective of your app is and how it will serve your business.

If your app is for customers being able to order food conveniently, then stick to that, don’t start meddling in other features that are unnecessary or unrelated to your business. App design is about creating something useful and purposeful for your target audience.

Does your business really need an app?

Whilst having an app might sound like a lucrative addition to your business, it might not be really necessary to have one. Be realistic and ask yourself, “do my customers need this app? And will they download it if it’s available?”. If the answer is no then you might just be throwing away funds on designing an expensive app that could be otherwise better spent.

Check out this informative video on deciding whether or not your business needs an app:

How have your competitors designed their app?

Researching your competitors’ apps will help give you an edge when designing your own. Aim to answer the following questions:

  • What apps have they launched?
  • How many downloads have their apps received?
  • What is the feedback like on their apps?
  • What do their apps look like?
  • What app features do they have?

Your competitors have gone through the initial trial and error phase, all of this information is extremely valuable and worth taking into consideration when designing your own app. In particular, take note of the feedback for their apps, as this will help you design a better and more competitive app.

How should you launch your app?

Designing and launching an app is quite a big deal and it should definitely be promoted as part of your business’s growth. Some tactics for promoting the launch of your app include a countdown until it goes live or sneak previews of the app’s features in order to garner interest and engagement from your customers.

How will you get users to download your app?

Whilst your app might have the best design and user functionality, it will bring little to no investment in return if people don’t download it. You should actively seek to promote your app and encourage potential users to download it.

Some example tactics for garnering interest in downloading your app includes:

  • 10% of their first order.
  • First 100 app downloads will be entered into a prize draw.
  • Exclusive access to deals, only for app users.

It is sometimes within your best interest to incentivise potential app downloaders to make that commitment and download the app. Of course, it’s not plausible to constantly offer incentives but it can be a great kickstarter for the initial launch or boost in app downloads.

App design – what will it look like?

You should take some time to consider what your app is going to look like. As a good rule of thumb, it should have a simple layout and only use a selection of a few colours. Having a sound knowledge of colour theory may also be useful for app design, for example green is often associated with health which is why many health apps such as gyms, incorporate green into their app.

User interface design

The user interface design is paramount for users being able to navigate your app confidently and with ease. Think about the app’s features and if the contents of information is clearly displayed. If an app is difficult to navigate it will suffer from negative reviews and a stark decrease in user activity.

Figma

Figma is a graphics editing software program that allows you to manage and edit the user interface design of your app. It is convenient to use as it works directly on your browser, allowing you to access multiple projects from any device, without having to install software.

Check out this blog piece for further tips on app design.

Can users navigate your app with one hand?

Another increasing trend in app design is ensuring that users can navigate it using one hand. If an app requires too much effort to navigate, then users may resist casual browsing or interacting with your app entirely. Features such as being able to double-tap to zoom in are subtle, yet effective ways of retaining engagement and easing navigation.

What is your fixed start destination?

Every app has a fixed start destination. This is the first page users see when they launch the app, and the last they see when they exit it using the back button. The fixed start destination should be a clearly structured, welcoming and informative homepage.

Will your app operate on Apple, Android or both?

The answer to this question really depends on which operating system your target audience is currently using. You should create an app that is accessible for them and realistic in that they will be able to download it.

More people worldwide have Android operating systems within their mobile device, so it’s a good option if you’re hoping to target a large global audience with your app. Apple users tend to have more spending power on average, so it really depends on what you’re hoping to achieve. Of course you could launch your app on both platforms but you need to factor in the cost of doing so.
